It was a fun & enjoyable trip in Bangkok. The weather there is really hot.
5 days of glorious fun.
What can I say? It was fun and I shopped like a mad woman. We went to the much talked about Siam Square, MBK, and Chatuchak markets.
The Chatuchak weekend market is a huge market, where you can buy clothes, food, souvenirs, and even animals!! I spent several hours there, and didn’t even get to look at half of it. Bangkok is certainly a place where you can shop till you drop.
I must say that the food in Bangkok was fantastic. Especially the tom yam. I ‘m a big fan of Tom Yam.
Food: Muslims who intend to go to Bangkok – please make sure you do your research as to where the halal restaurants are located. If you really cannot find anything at your location, just stick to vegetarian dishes. Or if you are quite liberal and you have a strong stomach, you can try eating at the many BBQ seafood stalls littering the streets of Bangkok.
Finally for a 3days of painstaking walk, moshing and 2steps at the gig for 2days, so Am and Nana brought us for a massage, since its said to be famous of the Thai-massage so we make a try to it. Thai massage was available for 200 baht ( Body Massage) and 160 baht ( foot massage) for a one-hour session I tried the foot massage…wow..really powerful. After massage my leg terus sakit. Thank God it was a last day. If not I dah tak boleh nak jalan jalan or shopping with my leg like this.
Thai Massage: This ancient style of massage is traditional Thai massage without oil, using acupressure points that stimulate muscles and nerves, and assisted by yogic stretching. Skilled Thai massage practitioners employ their hands, elbows, knees as well as their own body weight, to apply various degrees of pressure and mobilisation to different parts of the body. This ancient form of healing can do wondes for all of the body’s organic systems by helping align and balance the energies of the body. By enhancing blood circulation, Thai massage can help to break down and release toxins trapped in the body, in turn strengthening the immune system. Though Thai massage can at moments be a bit painful, the after-effect is not one of fatigue but calm. Bangkok offers more places to indulge in massage than any other city on earth.
The Sky Train: An incredibly efficient mode of transport completed not long before our arrival, this two-line, elevated monorail system was Bangkok’s answer to the endless traffic choking off every major roadway. Now it’s possible to bypass the bumper-to-bumper action by hopping on one of the spotless, air-conditioned cars and catch a series of quirky commercials and music videos being shown on flat screen televisions. Thanks to convenient transfers between the river ferry system and city’s underground metro, you’re always bound to arrive at your destination far faster than you would in a cab.
7E is really everywhere: There must be hundreds of these green, red and-orange emblazoned convenience stores throughout the city and it’s almost impossible to walk more than three blocks without accidentally strolling into one. And thank heaven for 7-E they contain miniature versions of everything we could ever need to get through the day, from cereal to conditioner to Snickers bars.
I got to know a lot of Thai friends in Bangkok. In Bangkok the Thai people were incredibly friendly. I’m falling in love with Thai people, they are so friendly and I’ve already made some wonderful friends.
So to all my new Thai friends: Sawasdee Khap! Thank you for making me feel so welcome…
